Dental Insurance
Princess Dental is a Non-Assignment office. If you have dental insurance we will process your dental treatment electronically to ensure your insurance company receives the claim the same day. This is the most efficient way for the patient to be reimbursed directly from the insurance company. Please provide us with your up-to-date group and certificate numbers and frequency limitations so that your claim can be processed properly. We often receive an on-line judgment from the insurance company so we can give patients notification of reimbursement on the day of service provided.
Why Princess Dental has been a non-assignment office since January 2005?
The implementation of the Privacy Act has made it difficult to process dental claims if any pertinent information needs to be discussed with the insurance company. This can be a problem for our administrative staff as the contract is between insurance company and patient, not the dental provider. Non-assignment asks for direct correspondence between the patient and their insurance company. With full disclosure, if patients have any dental questions they can call or e-mail their insurance company directly or contact one of Dr. Smith’s administrative assistants; we will be glad to help in any way we can.
